Purpose

Chartered Perspective is a site created with the intention of sharing the experiences, learnings, and information gathered throughout my career thus far in hopes of assisting students, young professionals, or career-switchers, in achieving their professional goals in the fields of accounting and finance.

As both a CPA and CFA charterholder, I believe I am somewhat uniquely positioned in terms of being able to compare the two designations. Therefore, I focus on sharing my experiences and opinions surrounding the charters - a chartered perspective.

Canadian Market

While there are countless resources in existence, this site was created with the intention to fill a perceived information-gap specifically in regards to the Canadian accounting and finance industry. Particular attention is paid to the CFA and CPA designations and their unique requirements and roles played in Canada.

*Note that all views and information shared on this website are strictly my own opinions. Chartered Perspective is not affiliated in any way with CPA Canada or the CFA Institute.
